MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A woman is now in jail after police say she held her property manager at gunpoint while she was in the process of being evicted from her Northeast Memphis apartment on Tuesday. Lekeshia Hill, 38, is charged with three counts of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, and assault on a first responder. Lakeshia Hill (SCSO) Officers say they responded to an armed party call during an eviction at the Stella apartments on 1236 East River Trace. At the scene, police say several people were in a loud disturbance over an eviction process. One of the eviction servers stated that after the eviction papers were signed, he went into the apartment and was met with an uncooperative male minor. The victim continued with the eviction and had three coworkers begin to move property from the home. However, during that time, the minor allegedly locked the door and did not allow two of the workers to leave the apartment. One of the workers says he jumped the balcony fence and saw another worker pushed up against the door. As he began to open the sliding door on the balcony, police say Hill approached him "aggressively" while pointing the gun at him. When she left the apartment, police say Hill approached her on the north side of the building and pointed a gun at her. Officers detained Hill at the scene and said she had gotten a cell phone in the back of the squad car and was talking on it. Officers say when they told Hill she could not be on the phone, she squirted water on the officer from an open clear plastic water bottle she was drinking from. Lekeshia Hill is held in jail on a $75,000 bond and is due back in court on Thursday morning.
