PESHTIGO, Wis. (WFRV) - A moving gesture of appreciation to those who served was held in Peshtigo on Wednesday, part of a vital annual tradition. The Rennes Health and Rehab Center hosted a pinning ceremony that included raising the flag in honor of Veterans who live and work at their facility. The ceremony was part of the Unity Hospice Respecting Valor program to show pride and country while sharing appreciation. “I love people”: Students in Neenah surprise beloved 100-year-old Arline Dabill on her birthday "Me and my crew were responsible for seven life-saving missions," began U.S. Navy Veteran Robert Wysack. "I have the certificates at home and I look at them periodically and I'm proud of it." Rennes Health & Rehab Center-Peshtigo East & Peshtigo West coordinated the ceremony with two Veteran volunteers, Bruce Sorenson and Ginny Russel, and Unity for the ceremonial pinning. Unity Hospice donated a brand new American flag that the center unfurled for the occasion.
