Hot and dry weather continues, and there is no sign of solid relief until late Sunday night. Temperatures will be hot each afternoon with highs in the upper 80s through Saturday. We are beginning to get a clearer picture of a more September-like cooldown next week, with temperatures looking to drop out of the 80s. This evening, like what we have seen all day today, will be filled with clear skies. Temperatures will fall through the 80s before sunset, reaching the upper 70s around 8 PM. Overnight, temperatures drop under mostly clear skies. With temperatures dropping under mostly clear skies and calm winds, patchy dense fog may develop late overnight and into Thursday morning, similar to our Wednesday morning. Lows reach the upper 50s in the morning for Fort Wayne. Areas not impacted by the fog may see a more chilly start to the morning. Dense fog will be possible tomorrow morning. We'll see more sunshine and we return to the upper 80s Thursday. The hot temperatures continue through Saturday with high temperatures in the upper 80s with mostly sunny skies on Thursday and Friday, becoming only partly cloudy on Saturday. Luckily, the humidity levels will still remain relatively low through the weekend. There is a slight chance for a shower or two overnight Friday and into Saturday, but most will be dry, and will not measure up to much at all. More clouds will knock temperatures down a little bit Sunday with a front finally moving into the area by the evening. This will give rain chances, and start an active pattern of occasional rain chances for the upcoming week. Our best chances for the much-needed rain showers looks to be on Sunday, lasting through Tuesday. Another system moves through later in the workweek. Cooler temperatures will begin to move in from the west next week. The first of several waves of low pressure will take temperatures down into the 70s next week with a chance of rain. While temperatures look to be down into the 70s, we will still be above average, but it certainly beats the heat!
