My mom loved to play Bingo. Every Friday, Saturday, and sometimes Sunday after church, you'd find her at a Bingo parlor on Montana. She'd be surrounded by paper Bingo cards and different-colored markers in each hand. She would win often. Most importantly, she honed-in on her social skills and kept her mind sharp. "Buenas noches Mrs. Casas, buena suerte!" She would smile, find her seat, and distribute the play cards on the table. Estela Casas becomes Lotería del Chuco’s iconic character She would have been proud to know that her daughter made it as a player card for Loteria, a version of Bingo with pictures.
