(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) addressed the rumors of threats that have been circulating on social media on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
CSPD reported via X (formerly known as Twitter), that they are aware that nonspecific threats were circulating in the community, mostly through social media channels.

"We closely monitor and investigate posts like these to determine their credibility and take immediate action on verified threats as they may arise," wrote CSPD.
The police department confirmed the posts originated outside of Colorado, and at this time, there was no evidence to believe there was a credible threat to any school or school district in Colorado Springs.
CSPD said it will remain vigilant to threats.
