CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston Police said a man is facing several charges in connection to a hit-and-run involving what witnesses described as a “rampaging” pick-up truck. According to police, they arrested Rondriquez Jamario Wright on Wednesday, almost one month after the August 23rd incident. Eastside residents reported seeing a large truck hitting into cars that night as it made its way down Hanover Street. One neighbor said the brick wall in front of his house was destroyed by the truck. Charleston Police said at the time the truck hit vehicles parked on Reid Street as well. Police told News 2 Wright was charged with nine counts of leaving the scene of an accident involving an unattended vehicle, two counts of duties of driver involved in an accident that damages an attended vehicle, one count of striking fixtures on or adjacent to highway, and one count of third or subsequent offense of driving under suspension.
