WILLISTON, ND (KXNET) — A man from Williston is being charged with possession of a controlled substance after officers found what they believed to be methamphetamine in his car. According to the Williston Police Department, on Sept. 12 at around 1 p.m., an officer on patrol pulled a car over for having dark tint on its front driver's side window. The driver told the officer that his driver's license privileges were suspended, and the officer saw a bag on the floor behind the driver's seat containing a white, crystalline substance. Williston man faces felony charge after gun fired in his house The officer arrested the driver for Driving Under Suspension at that time. He then opened the backdoor and saw the substance was no longer there. The driver denied moving it, but upon searching the driver, the officer found what he suspected to be marijuana in his cigarette pack. He also searched the car and found the suspected meth behind the passenger seat. The driver was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class C Felony.
