BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Sept. 18 marks the first day of the 2024 Kern County Fair. There's something for everyone to enjoy at the fair and there are even some new attractions this year. Hispanic Heritage Month: Arvin High School Folklorico dancers to perform at 2024 Kern County Fair Sept. 29 Chelsey Roberts, Marketing Director for the Kern County Fair, joined 17 News at Sunrise to discuss some of the new attractions you can catch the fairgrounds. Kool & The Gang kicks off opening night at the fair at 8 p.m. at the Budweiser Pavilion. On Thursday, you can catch country singer Josh Turner taking the Pavilion at 8 p.m. Entry to concerts at the Budweiser Pavilion is free with a general admission ticket to the fair that day.
