COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A shelter-in-place order on the Ohio State University campus has been lifted after a report of a shooting Wednesday evening. The shooting was reported at approximately 6:30 p.m. on the 1500 block of North High Street. Ohio State University campus police said that as of 7:30 p.m., there were no victims or suspects found. Police said the suspects are believed to have fled the area and that the shooting appears to be the result of an altercation between two people. While the shelter-in-place order has been lifted, campus police said a heavy patrol presence will remain in the area. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Columbus police at 614-645-4545. This is the second shooting reported on or near the Ohio State University campus this week. On Monday, an altercation between two men not affiliated with the university resulted in one man suffering a gunshot wound to his leg and a second man, Richard Patridge, 31, charged with felonious assault. Patridge is also facing several other charges tied to other unrelated crimes.
