WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Four people were injured in a Southeast D.C. crash on Wednesday morning, including one person who was trapped in their car, according to the DC Fire and EMS Department (DCFD).
In a post on X shortly after 9 a.m., DCFD said one person was trapped after several cars were involved in a crash in the 2500 block of Southern Ave.
DCFD and the Prince George's County Fire and EMS Department (PGFD) responded to the scene.

Crews rescued the trapped person and took them to the hospital.
In total, four people were injured and taken to the hospital. Officials said one person was in critical condition, another was seriously injured and two others had minor injuries.
