East Bay robbery suspect arrested following car chase

(BCN) -- Deputies arrested a robbery suspect following a vehicle pursuit on Tuesday, according to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.
Around 10:50 a.m., deputies were alerted to an armed robbery in the 20000 block of Redwood Road in Castro Valley. Someone reportedly took the victim's wallet, which contained cash and credit cards, and was seen getting into the passenger side of a silver Jeep with Oregon license plates. The victim did not suffer any injury.

Detectives found a vehicle similar to the description given by witnesses of the alleged robbery. Authorities responded to the last known location of the vehicle and found it on San Leandro Boulevard near 66th Avenue in Oakland.
Authorities tried to pull over the vehicle but the driver allegedly did not yield and a chase ensued.
The suspect was later found and arrested. Deputies said they also found a loaded firearm from the area where the vehicle was found.
