PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A 30-year-old Chesterfield man was arrested in connection to a shooting in Prince George County that left a person in critical condition. At around 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, the Prince George County Police Department received a call for service on an open 911 line, in which a female caller reported that she was in pain and needed air, according to police. When officers arrived at the scene in the 200 block of Sulgrave Avenue, they located the female caller outside of the residence. According to police, she had cuts on her hands. Police said further investigation revealed that a male was suffering from several gunshot wounds inside the residence. A shooting suspect, identified as 30-year-old Devin Grant, of South Chesterfield, was taken into custody at the scene. According to police, both victims were transported to a local medical center for treatment. The male victim was subsequently transported to VCU Medical Center for advanced emergency care and is in critical condition. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
