RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Need Halloween plans? Get ready for a spooky Halloween, as Riverfront Canal Cruises is getting ready to kick off its three-day, Richmond Eerie Canal Tours. The special three-day Richmond's Eerie Canal Tours will begin on Friday, Oct. 25 through Sunday, Oct. 27 from 5 to 9 p.m. According to Venture Richmond, the theme four this year's Eerie Canal Tours is Edgar Allen Poe's Nightmares. Guests can expect to plunge into the gothic mind of Edgar Allen Poe -- with guides narrating his works while passengers glide along the Kanawha Canal. Venture Richmond shared the tours will feature decor from some of Poe's most known works like "The Raven," "The Cask of Amontillado," and "The Pit and the Pendulum." The tours lasts 20 minutes and depart every half-hour with the last boat leaving at 8:30 p.m. All boats depart from the Canal Walk's Turning Basin, located at 139 Virginia Street. Tickets will go on sale beginning Oct. 1 and will only be sold online. Admission is $6 and children four and under are free. Children in attendance will also receive a special candy treat.
