Former VB officer pleads guilty to child sex crimes, having bestiality images

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A former Virginia Beach police officer pleaded guilty on Wednesday to several felony charges involving child sex crimes and having bestiality images.

Kyle LaLonde pleaded guilty in a Virginia Beach circuit court on Wednesday to 11 felony counts, which are listed below:
1 count attempt indecent liberties
1 count proposed sex act by communication system
1 count solicitation to commit carnal knowledge
4 counts possession of child sex abuse material
4 counts possession of bestiality images
LaLonde was indicted on six charges on March 4 on charges related to attempted indecent liberties and enticing a minor.
Court documents reveal LaLonde communicated with who he thought was a 12-year-old girl between mid-September and mid-October of 2023, including sending nude and pornographic images. He also attempted to meet in person.
Additional allegations against LaLonde were uncovered during a bond hearing on March 8, including media related to bestiality, which eventually led to additional charges.
VB cop denied bond on minor-involved sex crimes charges
LaLonde is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 7, 2025.
