Alvin Kamara wins third NFC honor with victory over Dallas Cowboys

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has been named National Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second week of the season.
The announcement comes after the Saints' 44 to 19 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Sept. 15.

The three-time honor comes on the heels of a four-touchdown, 180-yards-from-scrimmage performance in Dallas.
NFL officials reported on Sunday that Kamara ran for three touchdowns and 115 yards on 20 carries, caught two passes for 65 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys helping New Orleans raise its record to 2-0.
This is ahead of their second home game against the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome.

Sunday marked his first 100-yard rushing game since the season finale in 2022, according to NFL records.
Currently, Kamara stands as the Saints' all-time leader in touchdowns with 83 and rushing touchdowns with 58. So far this season he has 198 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 35 carries adn seven catches for 92 yards and a touchdown.
