BRILLION, Wis. (WFRV) - School administrators with Brillion Public Schools say all schools in the district are closed on Wednesday due to an online threat. According to a release from Brillion Public Schools, a threat to shoot up a school was made online and specifically mentioned one of the Brillion Public Schools. Both the Brillion Police Department and the Calumet County Sheriff's Office were notified and were able to determine the person responsible for the person who allegedly made the threat. A teen inmate is bound over for trial in a Wisconsin youth prison counselor’s death The Brillion Police Department says it was a Juvenile girl who is believed to have made the threat and police are continuing to talk with her and make sure she is held accountable. School officials say that this threat is not connected to this past Friday's threat and no students or staff are currently in any danger. We are confident that our schools are safe and we look forward to seeing our students and staff return tomorrow morning as normally scheduled. Corey Baumgartner, Brillion Public Schools Superintendent Administration with the Brillion Public Schools is using this incident to ask parents to talk to their children about the seriousness of making these kinds of threats and the consequences they will have to face once identified.
