BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man who has been wanted for over a week in connection to a shooting in Tonawanda earlier this month turned himself in on Tuesday night, the Town of Tonawanda Police Department said. Joel Brown, 42, is facing charges connected to an alleged shooting on Kenmore Avenue on Sept. 9. He is accused of approaching a 36-year-old man and shooting him in the leg and the hand. Police said the two know each other and it is believed to stem from an ongoing dispute. Brown is charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held at the Erie County Holding Center without bail. He will return to court on Thursday.
