First Ave. in Grandview Heights is closing to customers on Oct. 1, according to a social media post. Tony Tanner, the shop's owner, announced the decision was made to close its retail presence and focus on expanding its processing plant while working with local farmers in co-packing their meat. "This is where I see our greatest growth opportunity," said Tanner. "Your prayers and support as we wrap up business in Grandview would be greatly appreciated." 3D printing finished on first of its kind home in Columbus. What comes next? The central Ohio shop has been open for eight years and offers "the highest quality" meat including beef, lamb, pork and chicken, along with cheese and other grocery items. The company website noted its meat products are 100% pastured and are antibiotic and growth hormone free. Tanner's post noted that there has been discussions with the landlord of the building and that they are "willing to sit down with anyone who has interest in the business."
