Vice President Harris leads former President Trump by 1 percentage point in Wisconsin, according to a survey released by the AARP and conducted by the bipartisan polling team Fabrizio Ward and Impact Research. The latest polling, released Wednesday, has Harris at 49 percent support on a head-to-head ballot with Trump, who sits at 48 percent support among surveyed voters. Three percent of respondents said they are undecided, according to the data. Harris's lead over Trump is "due to nearly unanimous support among Democrats" and an 11-point lead among independents. Support shifts, however, among voters 50 and older, the survey showed. Trump leads Harris with 47 percent support to 45 percent among those surveyed in that age group, according to the data. For surveyed voters who are 50 to 64 years old, Trump also leads Harris by 10 points. Meanwhile, for respondents 64 and older, Harris leads Trump by 6 points, the survey noted. Older voters in Wisconsin said that immigration and border security, the economy and jobs, and inflation and rising prices were the most important policy issues. Fabrizio Ward and Impact Research interviewed 1,052 likely voters, including a statewide representative sample of 600 likely voters, and an oversample of 452 likely voters aged 50 and older. The survey was conducted Sept. 11 to 14.
