Alsip SEXUAL ASSAULT: Saul Gamboa Jr., 23, Palos Hills, is scheduled to appear in Cook County court at Bridgeview on Sept. 27, charged with criminal sexual assault, according to a court spokesperson. The misdemeanor charge, approved Sept. 3, stems from a two-year investigation of a then 16-year-old girl’s complaint against Gamboa forced himself on her in October 2022 in an Alsip parking lot, police said. Burbank RESTAURANT BURGLARY: Officers responding to an early morning Aug. 26 burglar alarm at Uncle Sam’s, 8668 Cicero Ave., found an exterior door peeled off the door frame and the cash register damaged with the cash box missing. SHOOTING CHARGES: Jose A. Murillo, 47, Chicago, and Samuel Renteria, 36, 5400 block of 84th Street, Burbank, have been charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon/no required permits in connection with Renteria’s accidental shooting July 7 at a store on the 3800 block of 83rd Street, police said. Renteria was injured when a 9 mm pistol in his pocket fired as he and his friend reached for it at the same time, police said. Murillo was taken into custody Aug. 29 and Renteria turned himself in Sept. 5, police said. Crestwood SHOTS FIRED: Two individuals at Tires 4 Less, 4351 Midlothian Turnpike, were grazed by bullets Monday when multiple shots were fired from a vehicle at about 10:10 a.m., police said. One individual was taken to a hospital where his condition was listed as stable, and the other declined treatment, police said. Crete Township DUI CRASH: Antonio D. Lomax, 44, 3000 block of Hickory Lane, Crete Township, was arrested Sept. 1 and accused of drunken driving during a Sept. 1 vehicle-pole crash investigation in the 23000 block of Torrence Avenue, Will County sheriff’s police said. Lomax was also accused of illegally transporting open alcohol and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision, sheriff’s police said. Evergreen Park ROBBERY: A male told police he was robbed of his wallet Aug. 15 in a parking lot in the 9400 block of Western Avenue. The complainant said he was standing near his car when a male approached from behind and pushed something into his back, implying it was a gun. Frankfort MATCHING DNA: A Fort Lauderdale, Florida man was taken into custody Aug. 29 based on blood evidence linking him to a 3-year-old car burglary, police said. The Illinois State Crime Lab determined Montavias D. Dixon’s DNA was on glass shards recovered from an August 2021 vehicle burglary at Fort Frankfort Park, police said. Dixon, 34, was charged with burglary and theft in February 2022 and is scheduled to appear at a pre-trial hearing on Sept. 26, according to Will County court records online. ILLEGAL GUN: A Hammond, Indiana man was arrested Sept. 6 while parked at Commissioners Park after officers recovered a 9 mm pistol with an extended magazine containing 25 full metal jacket bullets and three hollow-point bullets from the car, police said. Anthony M.D. Tate, 18, is scheduled in court Monday, charged with two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and one count of illegally possessing ammunition, according to Will County court records online. COLLISION CONVICTION: An Orland Park man convicted of leaving the scene of a February 2022 personal-injury collision was remanded to the Will County jail Friday after a judge refused to reconsider his sentence, according to court records online. Raymond G. Dignan, 39, 10700 block of Valley Court, was found guilty April 15 and sentenced Aug. 8 to eight days in jail, placed on a two-year probation and ordered to pay $2,275 restitution, court records show. Homewood ARMED ROBBERY: Three masked individuals left the Speedway gas station, 18002 Halsted St., with an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise at 3:25 a.m. Monday after one of them displayed a handgun to an employee and demanded money, police said. Lansing ILLEGAL GUN: Kyle Bickham, 27, 3600 block of 173rd Court, Lansing, was arrested Aug. 31 and accused of unlawful use of a handgun after officers encountered him walking at the intersection of 173rd and William streets, recovered a loaded 5.7X28 mm handgun from his pocket and determined he lacked a concealed carry license, police said. ILLEGAL GUN: Lamont M. Neal, 21, Chicago, was arrested Aug. 28 in the 2300 block of 172nd Street and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after officers recovered a 9 mm pistol reported stolen out of Chicago with an extended magazine and then determined he lacked required gun permits, police said. Oak Lawn RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY: A laptop computer, cellphone, computer games and cash were taken from a home in the 9000 block of Cicero Avenue during a Sept. 8 burglary, police said. AGGRAVATED ROBBERY: A Chicago man was arrested Sept. 11 after he ran into the 7-Eleven, 10220 Central Ave., pushed the store manager and an employee while attempting to climb over the counter, damaged an electrical fixture and took several items, police said. Previon C. Ford, 29, is charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated battery of a person 60 or older and accused of battery, criminally damaging property, retail theft and resisting arrest, police said. Orland Park FRAUD: Lennard Victor, 54, Chicago, was arrested Aug. 26 at Ziegler BMW, 11030 159th St., and subsequently charged with identity theft after attempting to obtain a $43,250 car using a downstate resident’s identification, police said. Victor applied for the purchase online, using the resident’s driver’s license with Victor’s photo, but was foiled by employees who notified police when he arrived to complete the transaction, police said. DUI CRASH: Grzegorz Sieradzki, 48, 16400 block of Lee Avenue, Orland Park, was arrested Aug. 26 in that block and accused of drunken driving with a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit, leaving the scene of a property damage crash and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision after rear-ending another vehicle Aug. 26 in the 15900 block of Wolf Road, police said. Posen ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION: Police report a man attempted to grab a young girl riding her bicycle near a park at 146th and Albany Avenue. The 8-year-old noticed the man staring at her at about 6:20 p.m. Sept. 11 and called her mother, who arrived to find the man chasing her daughter, police said. The man fled in response to the mother’s arrival, police said. Tinley Park AGGRAVATED BATTERY: An Oak Forest man accused of causing another employee to fall two stories at work was taken into custody Sept. 3 on a warrant charging him with two counts of aggravated battery, police said. Armon M. Williams, 28, 14700 block of Lorel Avenue, struggled with the other employee March 1 prior to the fall at the Sunny Sky Products warehouse, 7700 185th St., that seriously injured the other man, police said. Williams is scheduled to appear at a Sept. 30 pretrial hearing on the charge, according to Will County records online.
