First responders arrived to the scene just west of Marshall Avenue around 8:30 p.m. According to California Highway Patrol officers, the driver of a westbound Chevrolet Suburban struck a man riding a skateboard in the right lane. The impact of the collision led to the man’s death, and medics pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities have only identified the victim as a man in his 20s.
