Tiny tigers and karate kids can enjoy a free introduction to Tae Kwon Do from Mentor Public Library at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Headlands Community Center, 9096 Lake Overlook Drive in Mentor. Instructors from Mentor ATA will teach the children about martial arts, as well as self-defense, discipline, courtesy, respect and fitness, according to a news release. The program is open to kids from ages 4 to 12, but due to limited space, registration is required. Sign up at www.mentorpl.org or by calling the library at 440-257-2000. Participants are asked to wear clothes that are comfortable to move in.
