A DENSE FOG ADVISORY is in effect for southeastern southern New England through 10 am Wednesday. Visibilities will be at a quarter of a mile or less at times through the morning commute. As a result, road travel will be slow and hazardous at times. Airport travel may also be impacted this morning so you may want to check with your airline for any delays.
After the fog lifts by late morning, expect a mix of sun and clouds. It will be muggy and warm with a high near 78 today. Tonight we have a 50% chance of developing showers and patchy fog will return as well. Both Thursday and Friday will be cloudy, muggy and cooler with periods of rain. Drier and much cooler air returns for the weekend with increasing sunshine day to day and highs in the 60s. We welcome a new season Sunday with the Autumnal Equinox at 8:43 am. Fully sunny days will be back on Monday.
