WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Tuesday was National Voter Registration Day, and a group at Wichita State University worked to get students engaged. Representatives from Shockers Vote! answered questions and got people excited about the election. The group says most of the people asking for help are first-time voters. 2 million Kansans registered to vote ahead of General Election "Most of the questions we get are just kind of out-of-state students asking how they can vote or kind of in-state students asking like how they can vote from where they are on campus or just how to get registered in general," said Amelia Locke, the special events and marketing delegate for Shockers Vote! If you want to cast a ballot in the November general election, you have four weeks to register. Kansans must be registered by Oct. 15 in order to vote on Nov. 5.
