COLUMBIA, S.C.  — The South Carolina football looking to rebound after a 49-year field goal was unsuccessful as time expired at home against then No. 16 LSU. This week, the Gamecocks step out of SEC play Akron out of the Sun Belt. A lot of South Carolina fans think this will be an easy victory. Akron just earned its victory of the season and played very competitively against then-No. 2 Ohio State. Head coach Shane Beamer hoping his guys can feed off the energy of the crowd from the team's first night game of the year. "Offensively," Beamer said, "they're playing two quarterbacks. Not just put one quarterback in the game and take the other one out, but put both quarterbacks in the game and run their offense. It's a lot our defense will have to prepare for. Coaches are thieves. So when it comes to two-quarterback systems, I've seen some things that I like for us." South Carolina hosts Akron on Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m.
