LAKE COUNTY, Ill. (WFRV) - The Lake County, Illinois Sheriff's Office confirmed the investigation of a 'serious' traffic crash that was reported around 4:15 a.m. on Sunday. The crash, which occurred in Wadsworth, was a single-vehicle incident near Route 41 and Kelly Road. Deputies arrived on the scene, finding a Dodge Ram 1500 that had heavy damages. The driver acknowledged that he had failed to perform a curve in the roadway while looking at the GPS. The vehicle struck a light pole, went into a ditch before going airborne and hitting two trees, and landed on its side.
