Two men facing charges after large fight at the Big E

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — Two people are facing charges after a large fight broke out at the Big E.
According to West Springfield police, authorities responded to a large fight Saturday where multiple people had to be sent to the hospital for injuries.
Police arrested Massachusetts resident, James Stanley and New Hampshire resident, Levi Stanley.
They were caught by police after trying to run away with other people involved in the fight.
They’re both charged with disorderly conduct, destruction of property and assault and battery.
James Stanley is also charged with robbery.
He’s accused of stealing property from one of the victims of the fight.
According to police, officials are combing through surveillance footage to identify the other people involved in the altercation.
At this time, there are no security concerns for the 17-day festival.
In a statement, Sergeant Joseph LaFrance said:
The big e was fully staffed with police and security officers this past weekend. We are constantly monitoring the security needs during the 17-day run of the Big E to see if more officers are needed or where they should be deployed.
