FITCHBURG, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in Wisconsin say one man was rescued safely Tuesday morning after he was found on top of a car submerged in a retention pond. Officials investigating the cause of a porch fire in Fond du Lac According to a release from the Fitchburg Fire Rescue, crews responded at 9:31 a.m. for reports of a vehicle in a pond at Mckee Farms Park. Upon arrival, officials say they saw the car half submerged in the rendition pond with a man standing on top of it. Fitchburg Fire and Rescue says its firefighters are trained at the surface water level and were able to assist the man on top of the car immediately without needing additional resources. Crews remained on the scene to assist the towing service in getting the vehicle out of the water.
