Sep 17, 2024
NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — As younger generations redefine job structures, there's become an increase in Gen Zers preferring to be entrepreneurs.
Santander UK conducted a poll that found that a majority of Gen Z plan to run their own business and forgo the traditional 9-5 job.
The findings highlight a shift in preference from long-term employment opportunities to entrepreneurial ambitions.
Poll: 75% of leaders are avoiding Gen Z hires
According to Moneycontrol, 77% of Gen Z respondents say that they prioritize entrepreneurship and want to "be their own boss."
The survey also focused on evaluating the professional aspirations of the young generations. 39% expressed confidence in their capabilities, and stated they could manage things via smartphones — which then highlights the reliance the generation has on digital technology and social platforms.
While Gen Z is emerging as an entrepreneurial generation, it also added that their age should not be seen as an obstacle.
