LAWRENCE — Affinity Federal Credit Union opened a new branch at 138 Franklin Corner Rd in July and held a ribbon-cutting event on September 12. This branch brings Affinity’s total locations to 20, with 15 in New Jersey. It is one of three branches opened by Affinity in the past 14 months. “With the addition of the Lawrenceville branch, we are excited to deepen our engagement in the area with a physical location and further our mission of enhancing the financial wellbeing of our members,” said Shawn Lubitz, Vice President, Retail and Digital Branches at Affinity. “The continued growth underscores our commitment to supporting our members and the communities they reside in.” The Affinity Foundation also announced $5,000 grants to four organizations in Mercer County. The recipients are HomeFront, Mercer Street Friends, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, and Trenton United Family Foundation. “Our new Lawrenceville branch represents a significant expansion in both Central Jersey and in the communities that we are able to serve,” said Kevin Brauer, President and CEO of Affinity. “The Affinity Foundation is already getting involved in the region, supporting local organizations and non-profits through its first grant program in Mercer County. These grants reinforce our dedication to community improvement and address the pillars of wellbeing in and around Lawrenceville.” Affinity Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial institution with 20 branches in the tri-state area.
