CARLSBAD, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Whether it's to take the perfect fall photo or bond as a group while taking a trip through a corn maze, what better way to welcome the season than a yearly trip to the local pumpkin patch? The pumpkin patch at Carlsbad Strawberry Company is set to officially open for the season this weekend. The pumpkin patch starts welcoming guests Friday and will be open to the public until Nov. 3. Operating hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Starting Oct. 4, the patch will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturdays. Ways to celebrate fall in San Diego County General admission is $10 for Mondays through Thursdays and $12 for Fridays through Sundays. Children four and under can visit free of charge. In addition to the pumpkin patch, general admission includes access to the marigold field, tricycle race and photo opportunities. Other activities include tractor rides around the fields, a corn maze for all ages, pony rides and an animal petting area. These activities will have an additional cost.
