Leftover showers are running out of gas over central Kansas and should exit by early evening to the east.  While there is a small possibility of a shower forming closer to Wichita associated with this batch, the chance is slim. A random shower or storm is possible in western Kansas and the Oklahoma Panhandle this evening as the next round of moisture organizes.  This will not survive the night and fizzle to the northeast. Temperatures tonight will be warm with a little more humidity.   A strong storm system comes into frame Tuesday into Wednesday.  Storms fire first over Colorado.   One or two may reach severe status in western Kansas.   With the system tracking to the northeast, rain and storms will keep popping across the state into Tuesday night.  Any activity will wrap up farther east Wednesday morning.  Temperatures are trending above average and will soar Thursday and Friday ahead of another storm system.  Highs in the triple digits are a possibility before the front starts to cool us this weekend.   While Thursday looks mostly dry, Friday evening we will start to see the evolution of more rain and storms with unsettled conditions ramping up overnight.   It will be hit or miss into Saturday.  The system wants to linger over the northern Plains into early next week which could slow down the frontal passage for us.   If the front does not clear, then additional rain and storm chances will be possible late this weekend into the start of next week across central and eastern Kansas.  We will fine tune this as we get closer.   Temperatures will cool behind the boundary back to the 80s with a few upper 70s in the mix for daytime highs.  Overnights look pleasantly cool.
