A team of LSU researchers has been tapped to help the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps move beyond relying on a few large vessels, instead emphasizing a distributed network of smaller naval platforms, LSU announced Monday.  The project, titled “Intelligent Data Management for Distributed Naval Platforms,” is funded by a nearly $10 million grant from the Office of Naval Research and is the result of LSU’s collaboration with Integer Technologies, a South Carolina-based science and technology serving national security customers. Integer has established an office on LSU’s campus so that engineers and scientists from both teams can closely collaborate on the project. Read the full announcement.
