BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- Hurricane Francine brought heavy rain to Louisiana after making landfall as a Category 2 storm on the coast. Rainfall from the storm caused flooding across southern Louisiana and left thousands without power. Preliminary data showed how much rainfall the Baton Rouge area got from 3 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11 to 3 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12. Places in Assumption and Ascension parishes got the most rainfall with more than 4 inches. The city of Baton Rouge got a total of 3.39 inches of rain.
