Starting next week, on September 21, Angelenos will get to have some fun at Pixar Putt, a limited-time pop-up mini-golf course featuring beloved Pixar characters. The experience will open at the 2nd & PCH shopping center in Long Beach through January 15, 2025. Expect 18 separate holes, each one inspired by the cartoon icons—including Coco, Monsters, Inc., The Incredibles, A Bug’s Life, Inside Out and Toy Story, among others—plus special programming throughout the week. Pixar Putt After Dark, for example, caters to players that are 18 and older starting at 7pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. At this year’s D23 convention, where Disnerds come together to celebrate all things Disney, guests were treated to a Pixar Putt course that ran throughout the weekend—but, of course, you needed a pricey convention pass to play. This upcoming pop-up will thankfully be far more public, and a bit cheaper: Adult reservations cost $32 to $34, depending on the time of day, with a four-pack option that breaks down to $27 per person.  “We are thrilled to bring the magic of Pixar Putt to Southern California for the first time,” said Sydney Steele, Junto Entertainment's CEO, in an official statement. “Fresh off this year’s D23 Expo [...] we are certain that patrons of all ages will be wowed by the vibrant mini-golf course experience. Each of the 18 holes are uniquely inspired by the stories and characters of beloved Pixar and Disney films including the new ones like Inside Out 2 and Elemental.” Photograph: Daniel Stiles Playing times at the pop-up course will change daily, so make sure to consult the destination’s official website before heading out there. Keep in mind that advance registrations are also highly recommended.
