EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - Officials are investigating after a body was found in Easthampton on Friday.

The Northwestern District Attorney's Office confirmed to 22News that there was an "unattended death" in the area of the Connecticut River and the Manhan River in Easthampton. Law enforcement was called to the Easthampton boat launch along Route 5 to conduct the investigation.
According to Northwestern District Attorney’s Office Spokesperson Laurie Loisel, the death is not considered suspicious or suspected of foul play. The cause of death is being investigated by the Chief Medical Examiner's Office. No further information was released at this time.
The Manhan River is 27.6-mile-long beginning in between Huntington and Westhampton. It connects to the Connecticut River in Easthampton at The Oxbow.
