ValleyBike's share system features 300 existing bikes and 50 Drop e-bikes, stationed throughout the Pioneer Valley, and serves nine other communities in addition to Chicopee. They will be highlighting those new e-bikes coming to Chicopee and inviting people to come try them out. An e-bike demo will offer residents at the event a chance to learn about and test the bikes firsthand to emphasize the importance of sustainable transportation.
This event is in collaboration with Drop Mobility, whose innovative electric bike technology will provide a fun, eco-friendly transportation option for the Chicopee community.
Mayor John Vieau, city officials, and members of the Drop Mobility team will be in attendance at the ribbon-cutting at 10:30 a.m. at 274 Front Street.
"We are eager to bring our mobile demo kit, which includes 4-5 demonstration e-bikes, along with a tent, table, and small sound system, to make this event engaging for all attendees," said Drop Mobility’s Operations Manager, Jacob Alan Roberts.
"We are committed to bringing new and innovative solutions to our community, and these e-bikes will help foster a cleaner, healthier Chicopee. I’m proud to support this effort to promote sustainability and provide our residents with more transportation options,” stated Mayor Vieau.
