KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) announced that the Kansas River bridge repair project will start Monday morning on U.S. 169 in Wyandotte County. According to KDOT, the bridge expansion joint repair project, which will start over the levee along the north side of the Kansas River, is expected to be completed in about three weeks. KCPD investigating after zTrip driver critically hurt in shooting Work will take place on weekdays, Monday through Friday, during daylight hours, and traffic will be reduced to a single lane on southbound U.S. 169 (7th Street). The other open lane will have a 12-foot width restriction. KDOT said, "Traffic will be controlled using portable message signs, signage and traffic cones.
