INDIANAPOLIS -- Jane's Addiction has canceled the remainder of its 2024 tour after an "onstage scuffle" during the band's Friday night concert in Boston. This includes a scheduled concert on Sept. 26 at the Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park in Indianapolis, according to officials with Live Nation. According to a statement featured on the band's Instagram account, officials said that the band made the "difficult decision to take some time away as a group." "Refunds for the canceled dates will be issued at your point of purchase - or if you purchased from a third-party resale site like StubHub, SeatGeek, etc., please reach out to them direct," the statement read. What concerts are happening in the Indianapolis area? The band was in the midst of its first tour with its original lineup in 14 years when Friday's incident happened. According to previous reports, Perry Farrell, the lead singer of the band, lunged at guitarist Dave Navarro, bumped him with his shoulder and took a swing at him. Farrell was dragged away by others on stage and the show ended. In an updated statement from Navarro, featured on his Instagram account, he said the tour was canceled "due to a continuing pattern of behavior and the mental health difficulties" of Farrell. "We deeply regret that we are not able to come through for all our fans who have already bought tickets," Navarro said. "We can see no solution that would either ensure a safe environment on stage or reliably allow us to deliver a great performance on a nightly basis. Our concern for his personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative. We hope that he will find the help he needs." In a statement from Farrell, he said: "This weekend has been incredibly difficult and after having the time and space to reflect, it is only right that I apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday’s show. Unfortunately, my breaking point resulted in inexcusable behavior, and I take full accountability for how I chose to handle the situation." Jane's Addiction is a band best known for its songs "Been Caught Stealing" and "Mountain Song." The Grammy Award-nominated band first formed in the late 1980s.
