Students Evacuate Bailey Middle School Following Pipe Bomb Threat In Cornelius

CORNELIUS, N.C. – The Cornelius Police Department have shuttled students away from Bailey Middle School on Monday due to a pipe bomb threat, according to officials.
Officials have instructed parents to pick up their children at the former Foamex plant at the intersection of Bailey Road and Old Statesville Road.
The Cornelius Police Department posted on X that it was aware of a situation at the school.
We are aware of the situation at Bailey Middle School. We are handling the situation and parents need to report to Foamex and NOT come to the school or Bailey Road Park.
