CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A GoFundMe has been created for Jaiden Harris, a teen who was fatally shot on Friday evening. Shortly after 7 p.m. on September 13th, officers responded to a call for service in reference to a shooting on Burnt Umber Drive. Upon arrival, officers located the Harris with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead shortly after. As a result of the investigation, detectives identified a 12-year-old juvenile as a suspect in this case.  The juvenile was transported to the Law Enforcement Center in Uptown to speak with homicide detectives. At the conclusion of the interview, the 12-year-old juvenile was charged with involuntary manslaughter and released into the custody of their parents.
