CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is investigating after a two-year-old girl was struck during a shooting at an apartment complex on Sunday. Officers responded to a call on Evoke Living Lane near the Andrew Jackson Highway in reference to an apartment building that had been struck by gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located a two-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately began rendering lifesaving measures. Shortly after, the child was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim is currently in stable condition. The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
