TV veteran and author Paul Orlousky is coming to the Willoughby Hills Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 25 to discuss his book “Punched, Kicked, Spat On, and Sometimes Thanked: Memoirs of a Cleveland TV News Reporter.” Orlousky worked in broadcasting for over 50 years and built a reputation as an aggressive, investigative reporter, according to a news release. He worked as a news reporter, anchor, and morning show host in New York and Youngstown before starting his career in Cleveland on WEWS TV Channel 5 in 1981. For the next 38 years he was a fixture on nightly Cleveland TV newscasts. At Channel 5, he was a reporter on “Eyewitness News” and “Live on Five.” He moved to WKYC Channel 3 in 1985 and joined WOIO Channel 19 in 1997. Orlousky retired in 2020.
