WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Two men are facing charges after what police in West Springfield are calling a large fight at The Big E on Saturday. Storrowton Day wraps up first weekend of the Big E According to the West Springfield Police Department, on Saturday at approximately 5:00 p.m., several patrol officers at The Big E, Hampden County Sherriff's Deputies, and members of the West Springfield Police Department's Detective Bureau were called to a large fight with injuries on The Big E fairgrounds. When officers arrived, multiple people were found with injuries, some requiring medical attention, and were taken to Bay State Medical Center. A large group of people, some who were previously known to the police, were also seen running away from the area and the Fairgrounds onto Memorial Avenue. Officers were able to detain James Stanley of Haverhill and Levi Stanley of New Hampshire around gate eight on Memorial Avenue and were taken into custody. They're both charged with assault and battery, destruction of property, and disorderly conduct. After their arrest, it was learned that James had stolen items from at least one of the people who were assaulted and was charged accordingly. Local News Headlines The Richard E.
