PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A coastal low will be producing heavy rain and blustery conditions across portions of NC today and tonight...  A Flood Watch will go into effect at 8 am today and last until 8 am tomorrow.   We're starting with cloudy skies this morning and temperatures in the mid-60's.  Showers are expected to move into our southeastern counties later this morning, then spread across the Piedmont through the day.  Highs will be in the upper-60's this afternoon.  The rain will become most intense during the overnight hours.  Lows are going to be in the mid-60's.  Showers become more scattered Tuesday with highs in the lower-70's.  A total of 1.5" to 2" is expected through tomorrow evening. Wednesday and Thursday, the coastal low will be well inland, but likely sitting and spinning along the NC/SC line.  It will be cloudy with rain chances hovering around 50%, and highs in the upper-70's.  Friday through Sunday, we will be able to whittle the chance of rain to between 20% and 25% under partly cloudy skies.  There will be a lingering threat of another low hovering near the NC coastline, but it won't bring the rain threat inland that we're experiencing today.  Temperatures are going to gradually cool off, from the upper-70's Friday to the mid-70's this weekend.
