INDIANAPOLIS — A shooting on the northwest side of Indianapolis left one person dead Sunday evening. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the 7600 block of Beverly Hills Drive around 6:56 p.m. on a report of a person shot. When police arrived at the scene, they located an adult male with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Police reported that they found the man in a hallway in an apartment building. IMPD has confirmed that emergency medical personnel pronounced the man dead at 7:05 p.m. Officers believe the shooting was targeted and does not pose an ongoing threat to the community. During their investigation of the incident, police detained two persons of interest. Police are asking those with information on the shooting to contact the IMPD Homicide Office at (317) 327-3475. Alternatively, tipsters who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317) 262-8477.
