TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said a 24-year-old Taunton woman died after a tractor trailer crash on Route 44 Sunday morning. The victim was identified as Mallory Humphreys, and was declared dead on the scene. The office said the crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. near Winthrop Street in Taunton. A 27-year-old Fall River man was driving the vehicle with Humphreys in the passenger seat when it struck the back of a tractor trailer. The driver was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for non-life threatening injuries while the truck driver was uninjured. The incident is still under investigation. Categories: Massachusetts, News
