Summer weekend, chance for showers from coastal storm

High pressure over the Northeast will continue draw warm air northward in a southerly flow. Temperatures will again rise to the upper 80s, about 10 degrees above normal, and skies will be sunny, with a little haze from the Western wildfires.
Monday will be sunny and quite warm, with a light haze. Afternoon temperatures will cool down a few degrees but remain above normal for mid-September.
A tropical rainstorm developing near the Carolina coast will turn inland Monday evening, spreading clouds in the from the east overnight, along with showers reaching southeastern Ohio. Tuesday morning, and then lifting northward through the day. Temperatures will cool down, as highs fall back to the low 80s.
The low-pressure area will drift east into the Appalachians and upper Ohio Valley Tuesday night and Wednesday, resulting in considerable cloud cover and scattered showers.
Clouds will linger late in the week as the system dissipates, with sunshine and unseasonably warm weather returning next weekend.
