PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said a person was shot on Saturday afternoon. In a post on X just after 4 p.m., the department said officers were dispatched to the 14100 block of Richmond Highway to investigate a shooting. Small plane with 3 people on board crashes off runway at BWI Airport Officers said one person was injured. The extent of their injuries is unknown. In an update at 4:53 p.m., the PWCPD said one person is in custody. Police said residents should expect a heavy police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
