TOPEKA (KSNT) - A Fort Riley man accused of causing a crash that killed a Kansas police officer earlier this year has been arrested for his alleged role in the crime. According to a release from the Geary County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested Gage Kaiser, 19, of Fort Riley, on Sept. 10 on a warrant out of Sedgwick County. He's charged with involuntary manslaughter; while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and two counts of aggravated battery; DUI. Court records show Kaiser is accused of killing Scott Hollingsworth, 26, of Peck, on March 16. Hollingsworth was a patrol officer with the Clearwater Police Department. In a social media post, Clearwater police said Hollingsworth died after his vehicle was struck by another driver while was driving home from a shift. Hollingsworth had just celebrated one year with the Clearwater Police Department. He left behind a wife and young daughter. For more local news, click here.
